Homecoming Shirts Peer Helpers have extra short-sleeve Homecoming t-shirts available. Cost is $15.00. Please stop in The Learning Center (Rm 145) between classes or 5th Block to purchase.


Archery The 2023-2024 Archery Registration link is located on each school's website. Any 4th-12th grade student may join the archery team. Contact Kathy Stender at kstender@washington.k12.ia.us if you have questions about archery or registration.


YMCA Water Sharks YMCA Water Sharks Swim Team is looking for members. For more information pick up a form in the office.


Senior Class Meeting Monday, October 2, a senior class meeting will be held in the auditorium 5th block. A representative from Jostens will be here to present graduation item information and to hand out packets with the information for ordering.


Scholarships The Heisman High School Scholarship is now open to the Class of 2024. Deadline to apply is October 17 at 3:00pm. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, must be in at least one sport and must have volunteer and/or leadership experience. Scholarships The United States Senate Youth Program is open to applications from outstanding high school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in public service. The annual program will be held in Washington, D.C., from March 2-9, 2024. Two student leaders from each state will gather for a week-long study of government and those who lead it. Each selected delegate receives a $10,000 scholarship. The first deadline to apply is Sept. 29, 2023. Additional information and the application can be found in the U.S. Senate Youth Program webpage.
