Crush or Cutie Order Forms Order forms are in the main office. They are due back February 5th by the end of the school day.


Winter Dance There will be a winter dance on February 1st from 8-10 at the High School. Cost to get in is $5.

Optimist Essay Contest The Optimist Club International is holding a local essay contest that's due 2/3/25. Each chapter will have 3 winners; the top winner could go on to districts- state- nationals. Local winner 1st place - $100, 2nd place - $50, 3rd place - $25. To get an application stop in the main office at the High School.

SAGE Valentines Flowers SAGE is selling origami flowers for Valentine's Day. Forms are available in the office, the library, and Ms. Price's room (217). Big flowers are $1 each and bouquets of 3 small flowers are $2 each. Forms are due to Ms. Price in room 217 by February 6th and flowers will be delivered on Valentine's Day.


Scholarship The Christina Hixson Opportunity Award provides awards to high school seniors from each of Iowa's counties. These awards are designed to demonstrate Iowa State University's commitment to the student potential that exists in various ways beyond the measures of class rank or standardized test scores. The Christina Hixson program provides each recipient with a half-tuition grants (estimated value of more than $20,000 over eight semesters) to be used at Iowa State University. Applications can be found and submitted online at https://hixson.dso.iastate.edu/ Applications must be submitted online for the Christina Hixson Opportunity Award by March 6, 2025 with acceptance to ISU by March 1 and completion of the FAFSA as well.


Boys State American Legion Of Iowa 11th grade boys are welcome to register to attend Boys State in Johnston, Iowa at Camp Dodge on June 22-27. There is no cost to attend. Hills Bank and Leadership Grant Application If you are currently a high school junior in Keokuk, Washington or Johnson County, be sure to check out the 2025 Hills Bank & Trust Leadership Grant scholarship program for $1000. It's a unique opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills and earn a college scholarship from 4-H! You do not need to be a current Iowa 4-H member to apply for this program. All application materials must be received through online submission by March 1, 2025 for consideration. Iowa 4-H Foundation Scholarships Iowa 4-H members are eligible to apply for 4-H scholarships if they have met the individual scholarship requirements. Only ONE application form is needed for all 90 scholarships worth a total of $100,000 going ONLY to 4-H members. Eligible Iowa 4-H youth may apply for more than one scholarship, however, only one scholarship per individual will be awarded per academic year. Rotary Youth Leadership Award Rotary Club would like to sponsor two students for our district's annual Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) and pay the $500 fee for the students selected. Eligible students are high school students that are currently completing their Sophomore year or Junior year this spring. Applications are to be submitted online starting February 1st and will be accepted until March 31st at www.iowaryla.org.
