From The Kitchen We will not have salads or parfaits this week. Thursday and Friday at the HS only will be cooks choice because of finals.
Mental Health Awareness Month May is Mental Health Awareness Month. With 1 in 5 youth and adults experiencing mental illness, it is an important time to prioritize your self care. It is okay to seek help and support a fight against the stigma of mental health issues. Let's encourage each other and check on friends who may be struggling. Be on the lookout for activities next week at the high school. Always remember, YOU MATTER! 🫶
Color Guard Try Outs Are May 18-22 at 7:20 am in the High School band room. Current 8-11 students. Wear close toed shoes (no crocs), be 10 minutes early for warm ups, and be ready to bring good energy and have fun!
Dance Team Tryouts Dance team tryouts will be on Wednesday, May 20th Rehearsal at 5:30 followed by tryouts
Yearbooks Friday, May 22nd is the last day to purchase a 2025-26 yearbook. Cost is $55.
4th Term Finals Will be on Thursday, May 21st, and Friday, May 22nd. The high school only will be getting out at 12:05.
Volunteer Opportunity: WCDC is looking for a volunteer once a month on Thursdays at 3:15 to help teach computer skills. The skills you would be teaching staff include: accessing email, accessing files, opening and completing word documents, accessing websites from an internet browser. Internship Opportunity: Any WHS student who is interested in doing an Internship teaching Computer Skills or Art Skills at WCDC in Term 4, please contact your school counselor. Voice of Democracy Scholarship Opportunity This audio essay scholarship is open to students 9-12. Students record a short essay responding to a patriotic theme. There are local, stata and national level scholarships available. The national scholarship is $35k. Entries are due October 31, 2026.
