From The Kitchen This week will be Greek Salads and Strawberry Parfaits


After Prom After Prom forms are in the office to pickup. Registration is $35 per person.


Prom Shirts Students can pick up Prom tshirt order forms in the WHS Main Office. These order forms are due back to the WHS Main office with payment by Tuesday, March 19.


5th Block Waivers 5th block waivers for term 4 (green paper) are in the front office starting Monday 3/18/24 and are due Thursday 3/28/24. 5th block waivers must be completely filled out and signed. They are not considered approved until Mr. Van Weelden sends you an email saying so. You must fill out a 5th block waiver sheet every term even if your schedule hasn't changed.


Summer Kirkwood Class If interested in taking Intro to Psychology or Fundamentals of Oral Communication this summer as an online Kirkwood class, register in Dual Enroll starting today. The classes will fill up quickly.


Dance Team Jam The Gym WHS Dance Team is holding at Jam The Gym this Friday, March 22nd at 6 pm. $5 admission fee. Come and show your support!


Grand March Grand March will be on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Seniors....check Schoology for the link to sign up for Grand March. You may sign up NOW. Juniors....the link will be sent to you at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20. Deadline to sign up for your name to appear in the printed program will be NOON on Monday, March 25. You may sign up after that date but please understand your name will only be read, not printed. Any questions, please see Mrs. Hippen in the library.


Midnight Madness Tournament Midnight Madness Tournament - Youth for Christ of SE Iowa is sponsoring a youth basketball lock-in for boys in grades 8-12 on Friday, March 29th, from 6:00 pm to midnight. Scholarship The BethAnn McBride Scholarship Application is available in the counseling office for any senior who attended St. James Elementary School in Washington, IA and is planning to attend college after high school.


Scholarships The Washington County Master Gardeners are offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving Washington County resident pursuing a horticultural related degree or certificate from a college or university in the state of Iowa. There is a one-page application form requiring a short essay and two letters of reference due to the Washington County Extension Office by April 15. Applications available at the Washington County Extension Office or https://go.iastate.edu/MH24HW The recipient will be notified in early May and may be invited to a Washington County Master Gardeners meeting shortly thereafter. The mission of the Master Gardener Program is to provide current, research-based, home horticulture information and education to the citizens of Iowa through Iowa State University Extension programs and projects. Through their participation in educational activities, Master Gardeners also increase their own personal knowledge in horticulture. Master Gardeners extend Iowa State University Extension’s consumer horticulture education programs through volunteer activity.
