Senior Lunch Accounts Just a reminder that if your lunch account is negative you will not be able to walk across the stage at graduation. This also applies to any fines owed to the school. Computer fines, library fees, registration fees, etc. If you have any questions please come to the main office.
Level Up Day On April 29th the High School only will be running on a 1:20 dismissal due to our "Level Up Day" where the current 8th graders come over to our building. All other schools will be running on a normal schedule.
Job Fair WHS will host a Student Job Fair on Thursday, May 1 from 11:00-1:15 in the Auditorium Lobby. Students are welcome to stop in during their lunch shift or other time that works in their schedule. You will be able to talk with representatives from the following businesses about summer, part time or full time employment: Gingerich Well & Pump Service LLC, Sinclair Tractor, Greiner Buildings, Bazooka Farmstar, Washington County Hospital and Clinics, Halcyon House-WesleyLife, YMCA of Washington County
An Evening OF Improv is a fundraiser for sound and light equipment for the auditorium. This will benefit the music and theater programs and all other events taking place there. The cost of admission is a free will donation. This is taking place on Saturday, April 26th at 7 pm
Kirkwood Hospitality Day Kirkwood Hospitality Day is May 20th! If you are interested in a culinary/hospitality career, please see Ms. Riley! We will tour The Kirkwood Hotel, and the Kirkwood Culinary Arts labs, along with meeting culinary instructors!
Can Fundraiser The WHS Business Professionals of America are doing a can fundraiser to help with the cost of the trip to their National Convention in Florida in May 2025. This fundraiser is through May 3. Anyone with the link can sign up to have bags of pop cans picked up for donation, or drop cans off at WHS . Clover University Summer Day Camp Washington County Extension/4-H has opened their Clover University Summer Day Camp registrations. There are 8 camp options this summer serving youth from kindergarten to 12th grade from June – July. Scholarships are available upon request. Summer Youth Opportunities For a 2nd year, we are excited to provide this 'one-stop-shop' for families who are looking for summer youth activities. We know families are challenged with few childcare options and so there is increased stress to plan a safe and positive summer. Boys State American Legion Of Iowa 11th grade boys are welcome to register to attend Boys State in Johnston, Iowa at Camp Dodge on June 22-27. There is no cost to attend.
